Meet the uplift team

Our Practitioners

Kelly Donathan, PT, DPT, ATC

Kelly grew up in Illinois as competitive gymnast and swimmer before graduating from Clarke University in Dubuque, IA with degrees in both athletic training and physical therapy. During her 15 years as a physical therapist, she has gained a plethora of experience with various populations including: Women’s/Pelvic Health, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine (including coverage of summer/winter X-Games), Neuro and chronic spine pain.

Blending her background in Pilates-based rehab and specialized skill set in Trigger Point Dry Needling, Kelly focuses on restoring mobility and function to optimize performance while embracing a holistic approach. She believes that empowerment through education helps facilitate a successful outcome and finds fulfillment walking alongside her patients on their journey towards better health & wellness.

The freedom to treat each person as a whole is what attracted Kelly to Uplift’s model of care as she values exploring the interconnectedness of all things. In treatments you’ll often hear her explain how “Everything’s connected” while emphasizing the mind body connection.

Recently relocating from the Midwest to Utah for the Mountain vibes and lifestyle, Kelly seeks outdoor adventure and travel with her family while practicing yoga to calm the soul.

Our Practitioners

Sarah Gordon, PT, DPT

Sarah grew up in the Midwest as a competitive volleyball player prior to earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning specialist. With a strong foundation in both sports performance and rehabilitation, she specializes in pelvic health for active individuals — particularly those navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and return to sport. She works closely with patients who want to continue lifting, training, and participating in athletic activities throughout pregnancy and beyond, as well as those experiencing pelvic pain, leakage, or challenges with intimacy that interfere with the activities they love.

Sarah’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that pelvic health is performance health. It centers on integrating pelvic health with full-body strength and performance, rather than isolating symptoms. She views symptoms as valuable information, not limitations, and empowers patients with the education and tools needed to move confidently through pregnancy, postpartum, sport, and intimacy. Sarah believes that confidence in your body changes everything. She approaches care collaboratively, meeting each patient where they are and building a plan that supports both physical strength and emotional confidence.

When she’s not working with patients, Sarah loves spending time with her husband adventuring outdoors — hiking, camping, competing in CrossFit or HYROX, and playing pickleball. She’s also an unapologetic romance novel lover and will never turn down a conversation about a new rom-com movie or series.

Our Highly Successful RRR Method

After we assess your specific issue and make a plan to return you to your preferred activity, we will implement the tried and true RRR Method.

The RRR method works in three phases: Restore, Retrain, and Reclaim

🧘 Restore: This is what we call hitting a reset button on your body. We have to lengthen/restore the tissue to allow it to relax and incorporate breath. Adding length and mobility to the muscles sets you up for long-term success (visits 1-4).

đŸ’Ș Retrain: We have to connect the mind to the muscle and re-educate the muscle to fire the correct way (visits 5-8).

đŸƒâ€â™€ïž Reclaim: We look at functional movements and return you back to your preferred activities without any difficulty. The Reclaim Phase allows you to not only be pain-free/have symptoms go away for a short time, but to have pain stay away so you don’t ever have to experience this again! (visits 9-12).
